5, 6 and the beginning of 7 months!!

Ok, I have a confession. A big one!

I suck at blogging!

I always think to myself, "I'll definitely be blogging about that soon!" Annnnd it doesn't happen. I guess I kinda of have a excuse. You know, that little human that I take care of everyday. That one that keeps me busy, makes me smile, has me in awe STILL everyday that she really is ours. Yea, that girl. And let me tell you, she's pretty darn awesome!

She's grown like a little weed. Has 2 teeth. The first one popped through on April 12th and the second tooth came through on May 4th. Other than the mass amounts of drool, we had no idea the girl was teething. There was no fussing, no fever, no extra sleep sessions. Nothing!

We got to celebrate our first Easter with a baby. Way fun! We didn't do anything to exciting since Daddy had to work but did have a good breakfast and enjoyed time as a little family.

 Easter photo's Momma did with the real Easter Bunny! (-;

Too much excitement for the day!

First time on a swing by herself!

19.5lbs and 26.5 inches long at her 6 month appointment. Took her shots like a champ again too!

We took a little day trip at the end of April on a sunny day to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn. It's one of my most favorite places in the spring. Not only is it beyond gorgeous but everyone is so happy there. I love it! Guess who my subject of the day was..

Love these photo's. Brystol is wearing a shawl that my Grandma made before she passed away.

I can never get a photo of these dogs without 1 of them having a tongue out. At least everyone is looking at the camera!

Brystol got to be a little model for a company called Junie Bug Fabrics. She makes these awesome leggings. Mommy took the photo's of B and we got to keep the pants. This is one of the photo's that we took.
California ready!
Brystol's Uncle got married on May 9th. We weren't going to be able to make the trip down to California but at the last minute, I'm talking less than a week before the wedding, Erik found out he could get the time off for us to be able to drive down there. We left early on the morning of the 8th and drove straight through, surprising everyone the night before the wedding by being at the restaurant they were having dinner at. It was a great surprise and we were so glad we were able to make it down there for these 2 and to welcome Aunt Katie to the family!

Brystol and her Great Grandma Irene.."GG"
B and her Great Aunt Lori and Great Uncle Roger. We call them GAL & GUR. (-:
Seeing the newlyweds off on their honeymoon.

While we were in California we got meet some new friends and a fellow IVF miracle baby, Abbie! Abbie's, Mom, Anita and I were going through IVF at pretty much the same time. We started all our shots and had our egg retrieval all within a few days of each other. Miss Abbie and Brystol and 5 days apart. How cute are they?! We got to meet up with Anita and her family at a park in Sacramento on our way. It was SO fun and I love getting to connect with other women that know the infertility path.

Someone asked me the other day what the worst part of being a parent was. I didn't have an answer for them. How could I?! With the amount of joy Brystol brings to our life, there is no "worst part". Sure, the poopy diapers stink, the formula smells fowl when you get a burp in your face, but that smile that gleams when she sees you after she wakes up from a nap, or that sweet belly laugh we get to hear every day. It's what seals the deal and makes parenthood a wonderful adventure.

That has been about all our excitement for the last few months. I am sure I am missing some stuff. Maybe I'll have to make sure I add it to the 7 month blog entry. 7 MONTHS!! I cannot believe that this little woman has been in our life for 7 months now. If I could, without a doubt or 2nd thought, I'd do it all over again and million times. She has brought so much joy to our life and I really don't know what I would be doing without her. She is still the easiest little girl. Sleeps 12-14 hours a night, takes 2 naps during the day. Will eat pretty much ANYTHING. So far she's had apples, pears, banana, yogurt, prunes, carrot, squash, sweet potato, yams, peas, chicken, black beans and I know I am missing more. The only thing she's really had a diversion to was avocado and regular potato. She's full of curiosity and so many smiles.

Here's to 7 months old!
